Meet the Team
​Restorative Counseling Services utilizes a culturally competent client-centered approach to facilitate and address the social-emotional needs of boys, young men and adults. Restorative Counseling Services assists with building resiliency, decision making, overcoming obstacles, and equipping them with the skills to enhance decision making. As practitioners we are driven to understand and help young men overcome the barriers that are standing in the way of their success. Areas of focus include, but aren't limited to anger management, conflict resolution, depression, respect, ethics, self-esteem,character adjustments and life skills.
Louis Allen
LMSW
Louis Allen is a licensed, master-level social worker and co-chief executive officer for Restorative Counseling Services. He provides therapeutic intervention to boys and men experiencing barriers that hinder their success in relationships, school, work, and the community. He works collaboratively and comprehensively with clients to address trauma, grief and loss, anger management issues, behavior challenges, depression, and addictions. Throughout his career, Allen pursues a special passion for helping boys and men and has facilitated several programs to help meet their unique needs.

Allen’s professional experience also includes serving as clinical therapist in the educational system where responsibilities included assisting students with social, family, behavior, and cognitive challenges. He is charged with improving school culture and climate through the reinforcement of positive behavioral techniques, restorative practices, and management of corrective interventions. Additionally, Allen served as the director of special initiatives at the Juvenile Assessment Center, where he managed a drug court program for teens and oversaw the risk assessments of youth that have interfaced with the criminal justice system. Additional professional experiences include case management, social work services, program delivery and management at several nonprofits in the metropolitan Detroit area.

In addition to his therapeutic skills, Allen works in the creative industry. He is the chief executive officer of Highly Favored Productions, a Christian entertainment and production company. And he is a published author with works featured in book compilations, performances and articles. Allen completed a Bachelor of Social Work degree at Marygrove College and a Master’s degree in Social Work at Wayne State University, both in Detroit, Michigan.
Evelyn Waller
LMSW
Evelyn Waller is a Licensed Master Social Worker with over 25 years of experience working with children and families in various capacities. She earned both her Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work Degrees from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. Since that time, Ms. Waller has displayed a deep-rooted passion for enhancing the well-being of children and families. With an array of dedicated experience, Ms. Waller has honed her skills in providing compassionate social work services across many different settings. Her mission is to empower individuals to overcome challenges, promote resilience, and create a nurturing environment for growth and development. She is committed to advocating for positive change, implementing innovative strategies, and ensuring that every child and family she works with has the opportunity to thrive.

Ms. Waller has worked for 23 years as a school social worker and is currently employed with Southfield Public Schools. Detroit, Westland, and Southfield are just three of the districts Ms. Waller has had the honor or servicing students ranging from elementary through high school. During this time, Ms. Waller developed a passion for working with young ladies and empowering and supporting them to thrive and succeed. Her love of working with young ladies drives her commitment to providing guidance, mentorship, and resources to help them overcome challenges and reach their full potential as well as reach their goals.
Mark Winston

Mark Winston is a Licensed Master Social Worker and is currently a Social Worker for Southfield Public Schools. He is a graduate from Wayne State University, where he received both his bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Social Work. Mr. Winston has over fourteen years of experience. He has worked for Pontiac Public Schools, Inkster Public Schools, and Romulus Community Schools. Moreover, Mr. Winston has also worked with elementary, middle, and high school students.
Mr. Winston’s passion includes mentoring our youth. He has extensive experience in developing programs such as bullying, life skills, emergency response, conflict resolution, alcohol awareness, character building, interviewing skills, as well as social skills. Furthermore, he has worked with community agencies to promote, initiate, and create resources that will assist individuals and families to realize their emotional, financial, ad social potential. He has also reached out to local families in the community that have been in need.
Mr. Winston integrates unique, restorative practices that promote healing and desired change, based on each individual’s treatment plan. Mark takes pride in providing high-quality services and support to others, so that individuals and families can overcome various obstacles. Mr. Winston is a dedicated professional and grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve the community.
